DroidDB Tip of the Month

DroidDB® Tip for September 2020

Using DroidDB With a Desktop Emulator

The only emulator that we know of is the one that is part of Google's Android SDK. You would need to install the entire Android SDK in order to get the emulator (it is not stand-alone).

Once the Google Android SDK is installed, you can install and use DroidDB on the emulator just as you would any other application.

But, you might consider not using an emulator at all. Our stuff works on just about any Android device you can get your hands on (even the ancient ones). You can probably pick up an old Android device cheaply on E-Bay.

Top rated! I needed a solid database application development tool for mobile devices. I chose DroidDB for Android OS because it provided a way to get a strong product to market quickly. DroidDB is relational, gives me control over form layout, handles macros, and supports events. It works on all Android versions I have tried and is a great companion product to SYWARE’s VisualCE.
